Help and Advice - Civil Wedding Ceremony
Since 1992 there have been more civil ceremonies in England and Wales than religious. Actually the stats in 2006 sit at 66% versus 44% - quite some difference.
So, whilst we at Freedom have been busy organising the perfect stag do and hen party, you have been opting in your droves for a civil wedding.
Why? Could it be the changes in the law that have lifted restrictions on civil ceremonies? We think it must be, you now have a much wider choice of venues. Ooh all those magnificent castles and stately homes to chose from.
We wonder if you’re not so religious. You want to play your own music and get inventive with your own vows. An intimate wedding with just a few close family and friends can get completely lost in a grand church setting.
